Full-service packing in Tucson

Packing isn’t a rare add-on here — close to a third of my customers want it. A University professor with a five-day window can’t box a kitchen. A Foothills family selling an art-heavy home won’t risk the canvases. A retiree with decades of workshop gear just doesn’t want to do it alone.

We bring it all: double-wall dish-pack cartons, stemware dividers, wardrobe boxes, packing paper, bubble, and tape. The day before, Renata or the crew chief walks the place and decides what we box up and what you’re keeping out. Come morning, a two- or three-person packing team shows up, with the movers arriving right on their heels.

Tucson packing flat-rate examples

Pack scope Crew Typical flat rate
Kitchen and bathrooms only 2 packers $460 – $680
Whole 1-bed apartment 2 packers $680 – $980
Whole 2–3 bed home 2–3 packers $1,180 – $1,750
Whole 4-bed Foothills home 3 packers $1,900 – $2,700
Art, pottery, and specialty crating add-on 3 packers $2,200 – $3,100

Prefer hourly? $155/hr for two packers, $205/hr for three. Cargo coverage up to $1,000,000 per shipment, $0.60/lb released-value standard, 9-month claim window, under our Arizona authority.

How we crate, label, and log it

Each carton gets marked with its room and what’s inside — kitchen-A, primary-closet, garage-tools. Original art, framed prints, Talavera pottery, and china get individually wrapped and crated. Safes and pianos ride on a specialty rider. Whole-house packing makes the most sense on a long-distance move, where you can’t reopen boxes en route.

Everything folded into your Tucson, AZ flat rate

  • Double-wall dish-pack cartons, wardrobe boxes, and stemware dividers brought to your door
  • Acid-free paper and bubble for fragiles, framed art, and antiques
  • Room-by-room labeling and a written inventory sheet you keep
  • Custom crating for original art, mirrors, pottery, and glass-top tables
  • Partial or whole-house packing, day-before or morning-of
  • Unpack option at the new home on the same flat-rate basis

So what will it run you?

Two uniformed movers plus the truck run $155/hr on the clock, or lock the meter shut with a signed Southern Arizona flat figure that puts the entire move on one page

Pads, dollies, shrink-wrap and the careful hand-carries a Sam Hughes bungalow or a Catalina Foothills staircase demand are already in the rate, and so is any Certificate of Insurance a downtown high-rise or an Oro Valley HOA needs on file. Want a third mover on the crew? That moves the hourly to $205/hr.

Common questions on this service

How far before the move do you pack?
Usually the day before for whole-house jobs, the morning of for partial packs. Kitchen and closets the day before is the sweet spot for a 3-bed move.
Can I pack the easy stuff and leave the kitchen to you?
All the time. Partial packs are flat-rate too — kitchen-only on a 3-bed averages $460 to $680.
Will you pack an art or pottery collection?
Yes — that's what the stemware dividers, acid-free wrap, and custom crates are for. Fragile collections are routine work for us.
Do you haul the empty boxes away after?
If you booked the unpack add-on, yes — we take out the flattened cardboard. Otherwise we leave it stacked in the garage.

A note from Marco

I started 3 Gorillas Moving back in 2014 on one rule I have never bent: the number we put in writing is the number you pay — no curbside add-ons, ever. Every job rolls on our own trucks with a crew I hired and trained myself.

Whether it is a one-bedroom near downtown Tucson or a full house crossing Southern Arizona, you get the same crew and the same written flat rate every time. That steadiness is what keeps Tucson families handing our name to their neighbors.
