Apartment moves year-round

Turnover here runs every season — University of Arizona lofts off Speedway, downtown high-rise units near Congress, midtown flats along Grant and Campbell, and a steady run of Oro Valley and Marana complexes. We handle all of it at $155/hr for two movers or $205/hr for three, flat-rated once Renata sees your inventory.

We send your building’s COI that same day, take care of booking the freight elevator or stairwell ourselves, and move inside whatever window the property office gives us. Cody on dispatch has run apartment turnover since we opened in 2014.

What Tucson buildings need

Most downtown high-rises want a COI naming the management company and freight-elevator hours booked ahead. University-area lofts need a tight parking plan around class-change traffic. Suburban garden complexes in Marana make staging easy beside a loading zone.

Tucson apartment flat-rate examples

Apartment size Crew Typical flat rate
Studio / University-area loft 2 movers $470 – $700
1-bed downtown high-rise unit 2 movers $560 – $860

2-bed Oro Valley or Marana complex 2–3 movers $840 – $1,280
2-bed Casas Adobes townhome 2 movers $800 – $1,180

Cargo coverage up to $1,000,000 per shipment, $0.60/lb released-value standard, 9-month claim window. Years of turnover weeks under our Arizona household-goods authority — nothing to memorize, the paperwork’s on file. Between leases? Short-term yard storage covers it.

Everything folded into your Tucson, AZ flat rate

  • Same-day COI emailed to your building office or HOA — Renata handles it
  • Pads, dollies, wardrobe boxes, and shrink-wrap already on the truck
  • Floor runners through lobbies, freight elevators, and shared hallways
  • Freight-elevator or stairwell reservation coordinated with your property office
  • Bed frames, desks, and flat-pack furniture taken apart and rebuilt
  • Up to $1,000,000 cargo coverage per shipment available on request

So what will it run you?

Two uniformed movers plus the truck run $155/hr on the clock, or lock the meter shut with a signed Southern Arizona flat figure that puts the entire move on one page

Pads, dollies, shrink-wrap and the careful hand-carries a Sam Hughes bungalow or a Catalina Foothills staircase demand are already in the rate, and so is any Certificate of Insurance a downtown high-rise or an Oro Valley HOA needs on file. Want a third mover on the crew? That moves the hourly to $205/hr.

Common questions on this service

Can you finish before a noon lease deadline?
Yes — we start most lease-deadline moves at 7 AM, ahead of the heat. Tell us the cutoff and Cody schedules the truck to clear it.
Do you provide the COI my building office wants?
Same day, worded the way they require. Send Renata the certificate-holder language and she emails it back within the hour.
What if my high-rise elevator has a time or weight limit?
We pace the load to it. Our 1-bed high-rise jobs typically still run $560 to $860 even with slower freight-elevator trips.
Is there a minimum charge?
One-hour minimum on hourly jobs, but the flat rate is the standard quote, signed before we load.

A note from Marco

I started 3 Gorillas Moving back in 2014 on one rule I have never bent: the number we put in writing is the number you pay — no curbside add-ons, ever. Every job rolls on our own trucks with a crew I hired and trained myself.

Whether it is a one-bedroom near downtown Tucson or a full house crossing Southern Arizona, you get the same crew and the same written flat rate every time. That steadiness is what keeps Tucson families handing our name to their neighbors.
