One rule since 2014

I’m Marco Salazar, and I run 3 Gorillas Moving. We started in 2014 on a single promise that still holds: the flat price goes in writing before the truck rolls. No hour-creep after a Catalina Foothills stair-carry, no tacked-on fee because a county driveway turns to gravel.

I grew up on Tucson’s west side under “A” Mountain and spent years running warehouse and freight logistics along the I-10 corridor. Time and again I saw crews from out of the area float a low phone number, then run it up once everything was strapped in and there was no easy out. I built the opposite kind of crew.

How we show up

  • About 16 uniformed movers — every one W-2, background-checked, in a company shirt.
  • Our own trucks, staged and blanket-stocked nightly at our Stone Avenue yard.
  • Same faces, both ends on local Tucson jobs — no handoff to a stranger.
  • Properly licensed — Arizona household-goods mover authority plus US DOT and MC authority for interstate.

The Tucson we actually move

We carry adobe and territorial-brick homes through the downtown barrios, load student apartments near the University of Arizona, and reach the gravel drives and ranch gates out in Pima County. Summer is the real variable — monsoon storms and desert heat mean we load early and plan the board around the forecast.

The crew you’ll meet

  • Renata Fuentes runs the office — your quote, your certificate of insurance, your Arizona paperwork.
  • Cody Ransom dispatches, building the daily truck board across Southern Arizona.
  • Diego Marentes is my lead crew chief — pianos, safes, and Foothills hillside carries.
  • Trent Whitlock leads our long-haul runs down I-10 and I-19.
  • Andre Colby handles the downtown barrios and the University district.

What a move runs

Local rate is $155/hr for two movers and a truck, $205/hr for three — blankets, dollies, shrink-wrap, and drive time included, one-hour minimum. On interstate jobs, that number is a binding flat rate signed on paper before a box goes on the truck. See the local rate sheet or request a free written quote and Renata answers the same day.

A note from Marco

I started 3 Gorillas Moving back in 2014 on one rule I have never bent: the number we put in writing is the number you pay — no curbside add-ons, ever. Every job rolls on our own trucks with a crew I hired and trained myself.

Whether it is a one-bedroom near downtown Tucson or a full house crossing Southern Arizona, you get the same crew and the same written flat rate every time. That steadiness is what keeps Tucson families handing our name to their neighbors.
